The Atwal Clinic is a Concierge Genetics Clinic which provides diagnosis, management, genetic counseling and genetic testing for all patients with suspected or known genetic diseases. Through the use of guideline and evidence-based medicine we evaluate and treat patients and families with genetic diseases. We aim to provide a personalized and physician-led level of care which is often not possible in busy clinical practices. Managed by Dr. Paldeep S. Atwal, a board-certified geneticist, the Clinic caters to patients with rare genetic conditions and is committed to improving access to state-of-the-art genomic testing. With the widespread availability of affordable genetic testing laboratories we are able to find more specific and effective ways of managing patients. We are based in Jacksonville, FL and see patients from around the world. When evaluating patients for a suspected genetic diagnoses we have 5 main objectives for patients and families: 1) Provide a precise diagnosis, 2) Answer whether the symptoms are genetic in nature, 3) Provide a more accurate natural history & prognosis (i.e. what to expect), 4) Optimize medication and treatment and 5) Give an accurate recurrence risk estimate of the condition in other members of the family. We offer consultations either in-person or virtual via telemedicine consultations depending on patient location.
