Atypical Science exists to empower autistic and neurodivergent individuals and communities to make decisions for their own health and wellness. The neurodiverse community has told us that health and wellness information about autism, ADHD, and other neurodiversities is: • Hard to trust. • Hard to access. • Hard to understand. • Hard to use. Our team of atypical scientists is changing that. Atypical means “not normal” and we are atypical because we create health and wellness content which is: • Easy to trust. • Easy to access. • Easy to understand. • Easy to use. Our Vision is to see empowered neurodivergent individuals and communities. Our Mission is to increase access to scientific research and evidence-based information about autism and neurodiversity by the neurodivergent community. Our Values are #integrity,#diversity, and #inclusivity. How do we do this? We access the latest research about autism, ADHD, and other neurodiversities, then we: • Explain it in a way that is easy to understand. • Remove any discrimination and ablest perspectives from the research. • Discuss the usefulness and meaning of the research. • Always demonstrate our values of integrity, diversity, and inclusivity.
