Auburndale Learning Academy

Auburndale Learning Academy is a Head Start and Early Head Start program serving income eligible children birth to age 5 and their families in the Auburndale and Iroquois neighborhoods. Our philosophy is inspired by the Reggio Emilia Approach to early childhood education. The Reggio Emilia Approach, a highly renowned Early Childhood Education system developed in Reggio Emilia, Italy views children as active participants in their own learning to engage them in 21st century skills. Through child-centered projects, children conduct research about the world through play to become confident problem solvers. We aim to provide an inspirational space of learning and discovery, including five classrooms, two natural playgrounds and an art studio.
