In 2013, WAGNER acquired Earlex, a market-leading manufacturer which brought spray tanning to the UK with its advanced engineering capabilities, in-depth research and a renowned brand name. Currently, WAGNER is transitioning all Earlex machines to the AURA brand. The name AURA has both Greek and Latin roots, meaning gentle breeze and appealing appearance which describe the ideal end-user experience. The brand name is also derived from the Latin word, aurum, meaning ‘gold’ which denotes high quality and also transformation from the French definition of ‘will have’. AURA’s aim is to offer all women and men worldwide the best spraying innovations in the area of healthy and safe skin care solutions by focusing on quality, efficacy and safety. Its engineering arm is committed to exploring new territories, anticipating needs and developing products that will be demanded in the future. The spray tan approach addresses the long-standing health concerns around sun tanning and sun-bed use. Spray tanning does not involve excessive exposure to harmful sunrays, widely believed to cause skin cancer, and the glowing healthy look spray tans create generates a feeling of wellbeing among customers.
