Aurora Spectral Technologies is a new imaging company that has developed and is now offering OptiMiS™ for sale to university and pharma research labs. The system allows detection of multiple intracellular events simultaneously, a result not achieved by any other microscope imaging system. This instrument allows real-time quantitative analysis of macromolecular interactions and their spatial distribution in living cells via a full-set of spectrally resolved multi-color fluorescent images with full-spectrum of wavelengths in a single multiphoton excitation scan. In specific, the system has been used to determine the quaternary structure of GPCR proteins in in vivo and follow changes in that structure over time.
