Ausmun

A few years ago, the American University of Sharjah (AUS) participated in Harvard Model United Nations. Its students were able to learn, first-hand, about the international political system and grasp their role as citizens of the world. Marking the 10th anniversary of AUS, high schools in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) shared a similar experience with the birth of American University of Sharjah Model United Nations (AUSMUN). In a course of months, members of the International Studies department worked relentlessly to build an organization and launch an annual conference that delegates and faculty advisors would enjoy and dearly remember. Each year, AUSMUN's executive board and organizing committee strives to replicate and develop this rich educational experience. It has become one of the most revered student establishments in the UAE.
