Austin Florence Alliance

Catalyst and convener, the Austin Florence Alliance is forging a partnership between two of the world’s most visionary cities. The birthplace of so many of humankind’s great advances, Florence and Austin share a courageous, creative, and optimistic spirit. The Alliance was founded to cultivate and focus that shared spirit, cross-pollinating across art and design, culture, business, education, and technology. As the official committee for the Austin-Florence Sister City relationship, we are working collaboratively with the leaders of both cities to launch this historic partnership and ignite new ventures and opportunities, especially for young people. A primary function of the Austin Florence Alliance is to serve as the Austin-Florence Committee for the Austin Sister Cities International (ASCI) Organization. Our teams in both Austin and Florence make-up the official “ASCI Austin-Florence Committee” and hold meetings to guide progress and development between the two cities and their industries. Our Mission: To build a bridge of opportunity for generations to walk on, sparking a new era of creativity, discovery, and innovation.
