The Australian Design Council is a not-for-profit charitable organisation dedicated to advocating for the power of design to drive economic growth, social progress, environmental sustainability, and cultural advancement across Australia. Our mission is to embed design capability at the core of national decision-making, ensuring long-term growth and prosperity. Our initiatives are strategically developed to foster a culture of design-led innovation, equipping businesses, industries, and policymakers with the tools to address pressing national challenges. Through our flagship Design Impact Program, we identify and amplify opportunities where design capability can create measurable benefits at a business, sector, and national level. The Council is guided by a distinguished Board of Directors, a Council of Captains of Industry, and a Design Expert Advisory Panel, ensuring that our strategic initiatives align with both industry needs and national priorities.
