Autobike

Autobike is a student-driven project at ETH Zurich aiming to design and build a self-driving bicycle that can return to its station autonomously. Our mission is to merge mechanical engineering, robotics, and intelligent control systems to create a sustainable and accessible mobility solution for the cities of tomorrow. We are a multidisciplinary team of 10 students, combining expertise in mechanical design, electronics, software, and control. Over the next year, we will develop a fully functional prototype capable of autonomous navigation, safe braking, and intelligent steering – bringing new possibilities to urban transport and shared mobility. Our project is supported by academic guidance and inspired by real-world applications: imagine a bike that drops you off at your destination and rides itself back, reducing clutter and making shared mobility seamless.
