ATS was started in 2009 by a few friends who wanted to make target shooting more interactive. We experimented with various ways to lift steel plates and use sensors to detect bullet hits. We all had full-time jobs, and committed our nights and weekends to experimenting with targets. In 2011 we had a breakthrough and found a way to construct a ricochet-free target material that electrically senses bullet hits. We developed this idea into AutoTargets and eventually it became our full-time jobs. Today we continue to refine the AutoTargets system and push forward with new ideas that will expand our line of products and keep us on the cutting edge of target technology.
