Autopoiesis LLC applies design thinking, complexity science, ecology and a whole systems approach to the regeneration of organizations, communities, and ecosystems. We have led 50+ projects for innovative companies (GE), federal agencies (USDA RAC grant), Indigenous nations, and non-profits. Secured resources for projects and grants, developed sustainable curricula and sustainability metrics, helped organizations comply with sustainability protocols, procured regenerative building materials, directed regenerative projects through management teams, and designed sustainable materials, master plans and buildings. Focused on uncovering patterns and connections in ecology and evidenced-based design as they relate to cultural revitalization, community-led ecologically regenerative projects, strategic funding, and research initiatives. Impacts have included over $100 million in grants, tax credits, loans, and incentives raised for clients; thousands of acres protected or shifted to sustainable and regenerative management; and contributions to systems change initiatives.
