It is common to start even the briefest of company stories with a vision. Indeed, when we set out almost 10 years ago, our vision was to become the provider of choice for the elite of pharmaceutical companies in Greece, across a wide range of their scientific and commercial needs. We still find nothing wrong with this goal. However, like IBM in the 90s, the last thing we need right now is a vision. We have our country’s political and economic establishment to thank for that! Luckily, having a great core team covering all relevant knowledge areas and skill sets, plus an organization based on the network economy model (an extensive web of reliable specialists not on the payroll), we can remain flexible and nimble in these depressive times. We can stick to our claim of supreme value for money and not have to throw away the baby (quality) with the bathwater (crisis-adjusted prices). We will not allow this “crash diet” forced on the industry to cut away our muscle tissue. We are determined to remain fully engaged and be ready to revert to robust growth if and when our economy pulls out of its nosedive. Despite the fact that budgets are not exactly on the rise across the industry, it is no secret that outsourcing requirements are also growing.
