Ajit Dang founded Averis in 2018 after practicing law for the prior decade at Fish & Richardson, one of the largest and most successful patent litigation firms in the United States. There, he specialized in complex patent litigation in the ITC and district courts covering a diverse range of technologies from CMOS image sensors to cellular and Wi-Fi systems and standards, to turbocharger and bearing design. His experience covers all major aspects of litigation from pre-filing investigations to appeal at the Federal Circuit. Before starting his practice, Mr. Dang served as an extern for Justice Cantero, of the Florida Supreme Court. He also gained valuable business and engineering experience working in software design and network engineering before entering the field of law. While studying computer science at Stetson, he worked as a PHP/MySQL application developer for the university, a network engineer for one of the largest IT consulting firms in Florida, and a network administrator for a hedge fund company. At Averis, Mr. Dang’s practice continues to focus on patent litigation and licensing, in addition to risk analysis, valuation, and intellectual property consulting services. He leverages his experience from managing large teams of litigators in high-stakes cases to provide his clients with targeted and cost-effective solutions for key phases of the patent litigation lifecycle. He also draws from his considerable licensing experience to provide his clients with patent risk and valuation consulting.
