Avifilm Export Corporation is Europe's largest manufacturer of specialty PS foam used as base material for insulating labels, tamper evident labels, non slip tray mats and hair highlighting wraps. It recently acquired the extrusion business of Gerroplast GMBH and has an annual capacity of MT. The company owns the Plasti-shield trademark. This is the trade name of the specialty foam labels used in beverage or food containers requiring insulation ( ready made microwave food) or cooling ( beer cans). The protective and noise reducing properties are beneficial to one way glass bottles. Users of the material include Coca Cola and Nestle. The company has invested in state of the art re-cycling equipment enabling them to recycle and reuse all its waste material. Product containing up to 80% recycled material is available and very popular with end users trying to achieve sustainability targets. A pioneering biodegradable product is also available to carefully selected users. The company is also offering products with a high % of PCR.
