SUSTAINABILITY In 2004 Axion decided to take a serious look at our impact on the environment. We responded by making the following changes in our studio: we recycle all of our paper output, we use non-toxic or natural alternative commercial products, encourage clients to review files electronically and share our knowledge with clients when appropriate. Our environmental efforts were recently recognized, when Axion was awarded a Bay Area Green Business certification. We are also Green America approved (formerly know as Co-Op America “Approved for People and the Planet”). Even small steps can make a difference. COMMUNITY • Adopt a Family For 14 years Axion has been supporting this local charity by sponsoring a family with financial and/or health troubles. We buy all the Thanksgiving fixings, and then finish off the holiday season by creating a Christmas fantasy – breakfast, dinner and presents for all. We make sure everyone in the family gets gifts, as the parent(s) often do not ask for anything. • Downtown San Anselmo Merchants Association Since a devastating flash flood in December 2005, Axion has been contributing to this newly formed merchant organization. We provide creative services and printing to promote local awareness of the shopping opportunities in downtown San Anselmo.
