Ayana Renewable Power is a leading Independent Power Producer (IPP) in India, committed to accelerating the country’s clean energy transition. Established in 2017 by British International Investment (BII). In 2019, NIIF (National Investment and Infrastructure Fund) and GGEF (Green Growth Equity Fund) joined as investors, further strengthening Ayana’s growth trajectory. On March 27, 2025, Ayana achieved a strategic milestone with its acquisition by ONGC NTPC Green Private Limited (ONGPL), a joint venture of ONGC Green Ltd.(OGL)—a wholly owned subsidiary of ONGC and NTPC Green Energy Ltd.(NGEL)—a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Ltd. This marks a new era for Ayana, reinforcing its role in India’s energy security and sustainability journey. As of early 2025, Ayana manages a 4.1 GW renewable energy portfolio across multiple Indian states. Ayana has grown into a key player in India’s renewable energy landscape, delivering large-scale solar, wind, hybrid, storage and Round-the-Clock (RTC) renewable solutions.
