Aztec Baja Racing

Aztec Baja Racing is the Baja SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) team at San Diego State University. Baja SAE is an international collegiate competition that challenges students to design, build, and race a 10hp offroad buggy each year. We compete in three US competitions during the spring semester that include a sales presentation, a design presentation, an acceleration trial, an obstacle trial, and a 4 hour endurance race. Our engineers take the theoretical knowledge they gain in their classes and apply it to the real world, designing and machining most of the car from scratch in SDSU's machine shop. Through Mini Baja, many students gain the skills and connections they need to succeed in the professional industry after college.
