B-OPEN was founded in 2004 aiming to design, develop and market high quality software products and services based on innovative technologies. All B-OPEN's applications have been designed and implemented on 'jPlaton TM' which is a proprietary development platform for open and distributed applications built on Java. This new technology endeavor, introduced the MLP – Multi Layered Programming model which facilitates long-term application lifecycle management. B-OPEN’s first application was 'jVTC', designed especially for Vehicle Inspection Technical Centers, a solution which offered to the company a significant market share and a leading position in this market. Since 2008 B-OPEN has been constantly investing in Cloud Computing technology, becoming a technology pioneer in Cloud and migrating its expertise and software solutions to this new technology. In 2012, B-OPEN launched Comidor, a business cloud software suite that offers Enterprise Collaboration and Task Management, Document Management, Project Management, Business Processes, CRM and more as Software as a Service (SaaS) or on premise and hybrid installations and CiRANO IDE for in house Comidor development. Additionally, B-OPEN offers Nephelee, an Application Platform as a Service (aPaaS), which is an innovative framework for developers, enterprises, technology partners and IT departments to develop their own applications for the Cloud. B-OPEN actively participates in various European Research and Technology Programmes (CiRANO, INFUSE), is a gold Oracle partner and is certified with ISO 9001 and ISO 27001.
