B@titude Limited was incorporated in 2010 whose genesis was and still is to provide affordable good quality second hand young children’s clothing, toys, books and equipment within the local area of North Leatherhead. As part of our evolution we set-up our counselling service in 2013 to address the overwhelming local need for support and then in 2019 we established The Hive which provides a creative arts space, welcoming and encouraging adults to enjoy and explore art, colour, sewing, knitting, drawing amongst many other things. We have found over the years taking time to learn new skills or discover our creative gifts builds confidence and self esteem that significantly helps when facing loneliness or anxiety. Our core values are people, generosity, prayer, hope, authenticity and the freedom of expression. North Leatherhead was chosen as the Indices of Multiple Deprivation highlighted the area as a deprived area with concerns around educational attainment, health, crime and opportunities lacking employment and training for young people. For the past twenty five years it has been a priority place for Mole Valley District Council. Our aim is to be present and visible within the community, bringing people together in a safe environment, developing relationships while listening to people’s needs and providing practical help where possible and look to encourage creative and diverse solutions, while actively supporting peoples dreams and helping these come to fruition. We intend to expand on the counselling services being provided and are actively looking at ways to both support existing projects and develop opportunities for people in the local community to get involved with and gain confidence and skills. Further more we plan to expand, where possible, the events which we intend to host as well as the one-to-one support for individuals.
