Baby Begin, LLC, began in 2008 when Jennifer Todd-Barnard, OTR, saw a growing need to treat infants with plagiocephaly and torticollis without aggressive and uncomfortable helmet therapy. Baby Begin has treated more than babies with their gentle, in-home therapy sessions. The therapists at Baby Begin possess the unmatched experience and knowledge about these common and often preventable conditions. Skull deformities have numerous medical and social implications, and Baby Begin is dedicated to educating parents and physicians alike on how to minimize the risk of plagiocephaly and torticollis. Baby Begin provides the following services to infants and their families. •Specialized Physical and/or Occupational Therapy for plagiocephaly and torticollis (tight neck) and/or developmental delays in the home, where baby is most comfortable •Education and demonstration on correcting skull deformities without the use of a corrective helmet using safe, strategic repositioning techniques •Community education and speaking arrangements to moms’ groups, physician groups and other infant-focused organizations •Infant massage classes in clients’ homes and throughout the DFW area
