Back To The Community is a non-profit that focuses on people who have been faced with the challenges of both incarceration and chronic homelessness. This company has created plans to focus on a community of care in which people who become homeless are permanently housed in adequate safe yet affordable housing. With the appropriate services given to them to teach them how to be self-sufficient; making long-term homelessness and high recidivism rates a thing of the past. To make this happen this company focuses on bringing to light the housing discrepancies, shortages, and discriminatory practices. In order to properly assist individuals, there must be housing changes in California. There are many nonprofits that offer wrap-around services and assistance but that is still not addressing the issue of housing.
