Backgammon Media

Since 2016, Ian Nyquist and Oli Hazley have been musician/sound design collaborators at the head of Backgammon Media. They write and produce original music for cinema, radio, television. A range of our work to date includes: • Composer for Calor Gas TV Ad Campaign • Composer for Galaxy Online Ad Campaign • Sound Designer for 2018 Winter Olympics • Composer for podcast, “Rev. Billy & The Stop Shopping Choir” Ian graduated from the Arts University Bournemouth in 2015 with a Bachelor Honours degree in Fine Art. Specialising in sound and music, Ian has produced and composed both music and sound art for a broad range of work including theatre performances, film, and independent council-funded projects. Oliver graduated from Trinity with a Masters in Music and Media technology in 2015. Since then he has worked as a clubnight organizer and DJ, as well as for the Irish Association of Contemporary Composers. Through MMT and interning with Sponge music, he has developed a keen interest in composition for television and film.
