Backyard History

Backyard History is a video production company that specializes in producing short digital videos to promote tourism to smaller,"roadtrip towns," in other words, towns that seem to be passed up in favor of bigger, more popular destinations. As we focus on history, most videos involve historical points of interest, but any can highlight other hidden treasures within a certain community. These 2-5 minute videos are uploaded to the city websites, regional pages, our website, YouTube, and social media accounts, as well as looped in local hotel lobbies, local television, and restaurant waiting areas. The ultimate goal: to promote tourism and to increase awareness of and appreciation for local history.
