The company was formed in 2007 in Ireland by German born Rolf Basty who has held senior positions with a number of international printing chemical manufactures. Baco develops and produces surfactants and additives for the production of printing chemicals for pre-press and press-room applications. Baco have used their experience to develop high performance chemical solutions for the printing industry including Fogra approved fountain solutions, blanket and roller washes. The printing chemicals, surfactant and additives of Baco are manufactured at plants in Switzerland and the Netherlands. Baco have the facilities and expertise to research everything from standard tests for printing inks and printing chemicals to the latest technology to measurement the ink water balance of fountain solutions. The formulations of Baco are manufacturer by a number of companies in several countries under private label agreements and are in daily usage around the world at numerous printers, packaging companies and newspapers.
