Badlao Foundation

Badlao Foundation is a community-based organization that works for Primitive Tribal groups in the Santhal Parganas region to enhance their self-sustainability. We are currently functioning in 7 districts i.e. Jamtara, Dumka, Deoghar, Godda, Pakur, Sahebganj and Ranchi. Our focus is on the Santhal Paraganas districts. We work for the welfare of 526 Villages, and 52189 households. The goals set by Badlao Foundation includes- INRM, Livelihood & Food Security 1. No Poverty, 2. Zero Hunger, 3. Sustainable Cities and Communities Education Health and Nutrition 4. Good Health and Well-being, 5. Quality Education, 6. Clean Water and Sanitation Governance (PRIs, PESA, Mahila Sabhas, CBOs) 7. Gender Equality 8. Reduced Inequalities Our Vission- The realization of the aspirations and the entitlements of the deprived communities (Tribals and Forest Dwellers, women and children ) in Jharkhand and achieve appropriate social and infrastructure development for better health and well being. Our Mission includes the empowerment of the deprived communities through strengthening the Gram Sabhas and PRIs under PESA, the traditional community organizations and structures and women based community groups ( Mahila Sabhas ) to enable them to access basic services and promote sustainable livelihoods. Our Core Values include Change, Self Reliance, Human Dignity, Ecological balance, Participatory Development, Equality and an equity-based society.
