Maggie Dumra, proud mum of one, inspired by her daughter and mini-muse, Bae. She is the founder and designer of these fashion forward social conscious outfits. The label BaeBeeBoo has a very special and unique meaning behind it. It is basically a combination of her daughter's name, Bae, her husband's name Bee and what she calls the two of them, Boo. So there you go. BaeBeeBoo was born. She started the label launching The Bae Collection, which is a range of 100% cotton, beautifully made and embroidered by women in Jaipur, India. Extremely comfortable and we have parents telling us their kids love it so much that they refuses to take them off! We believe that we all have the power and a role to play in making the world a better place. Hence, we run a ‘Give Back’ program which aims to make a difference. We love, support and salute the work New Light is doing with Operation Starfish. Operation Starfish (run by the New Light Foundation) is a play school for toddlers and other out-of-school young children in Sonagachi, the biggest sex worker district in Kolkata (India). There are 29 children with 2 teachers and 2 caregivers to assist. Launched in October 2013, the name Operation Starfish is borrowed from the Hawaiian folktale of a man throwing a single starfish picked up from the beach back into the ocean hoping to save its life. New Light aims to do the same and wishes to reach its goal even if it impacts or saves only one life. The annual budget for running the Starfish Shelter Home is The project needs continuous help for the next 3 years. We will be contributing a portion from our sales proceeds towards this worthy cause.
