Balance Mat technology utilises an optical fibre sensor system to measure variations in force applied to the surface of a mat. The Balance Mat has been granted an Australian Patent, with patents pending in Singapore, USA, EU, UK, New Zealand and Japan. It is being developed to be portable and affordable, as well as fast and simple to use.
