Baldoni… since 1935 a symbol of female elegance In 1935 a young Giuseppe, with the help of his father Eugenio, set up a small business of footwear manufacturer. The small company soon started to grow with very good results, becoming a real industry named “GIBAL”. In 1943 the World War II obliged the resourceful Giuseppe to move his family and manufacturing business to a small place in the Italian Region Molise, where he was able to hide his assets and machineries from the German Army requisition and to continue shoes production in small volumes. Then, in 1945, when World War II was over, Giuseppe with his family came finally back to Naples taking over the manufacturing activities in the laboratory where todays Eduardo de Filippo square is located, headquarter of the famous San Ferdinando Theatre. The company, so restored, in few years became thriving and competitive, thanks to 50 specialized artisans capable to create an excellent product, distributing it in almost all Italian Regions. After Giuseppe’s premature death in 1958, his firstborn Eugenio decided to convert the production from shoes to bags and ladies accessories with a particular focus on design of the model and on high quality leather in order to completely satisfy Ladies wishes which, during economic revival of the 60th, became highly demanding. Seriousness, reliability and quality were able to determine a value added to a hand-made product raising it to a superior level. Today, ” BALDONI” brand is presenting its products to the Domestic and International market to continue its brilliant family tradition, proposing continuously original and unique models made of high quality materials.
