Balkan Institute

The Balkan Institute (BI) is a non-profit organization engaged in regional peace-building, post-conflict transformation and development. The Institute organizes conferences, seminars, trainings, and educational programs and facilitates the creation and maintenance of economic, professional, and scholarly networks across Southeast Europe. The Balkan Institute takes new and innovative approaches towards post-conflict reconstruction and the development of cross-border cooperation in the Balkans. The Institute believes that one of the best ways of approaching these issues is to help young people in the region discover concrete economic incentives for cooperation through programs where they work closely with people from different backgrounds in order to develop their own ideas and to learn from one another. BI regional networks include Albania, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey. BI currently operates in: • Kosovo
