Ballin shoes was founded in 1945 thanks to the entrepreneurial spirit and the courage of brothers Giorgio and Guido Ballin, who decided to make their great dream come true – the production of footwear. Giorgio's three children – Gabriella, Reanna and Alessandro – were to take over the business in the 90s, leading it successfully up until the present day, along with Creative Director, Roberto Barina. In 2005 the factory was entirely renovated, becoming a perfect example of state-of-the-art production. Another important landmark was reached in 2011, when a single-brand boutique opened in one of the most famous streets of Milan's international luxury shopping quarter - Via Santo Spirito no.5. Under its third-generation management, Ballin continues to offer impeccably made footwear, thanks to the attention paid in constructing the forms and to considerable manual input at all stages of the production chain. By investing in people and cherishing a strong passion for their craft, the company has been able to become a point of reference for the luxury footwear sector. Ballin can boast of several important, long-lasting partnerships with the most prestigious luxury brands in Italy and abroad. The complex housing its offices, design facilities, factory and showroom is in Fiesso d'Artico on the Brenta Riviera. The company has over 220 employees and an annual production capacity of over pairs of shoes, distributed in Italy and worldwide. Alongside its shoe production, Ballin also has a line of leather goods, which expands and enriches the brand offer. Distribution is through a large and carefully selected sales network, divided among 11 single-brand boutiques and 300 multi-brand points of sale, distributed in turn across 35 countries worldwide. With its strongly growing turnover, today the shoe factory has kept only a few key partnerships and is focussing on its own brand as an expression of skilful craftsmanship, as well as of seductive, feminine style.
