Bamboo House India

Bamboo House India is a social enterprise building green livelihoods by transforming natural and discarded materials into sustainable products and income opportunities. For 18 years, we have worked with communities that society often overlooks—marginalised women, prisoners, refugees, waste pickers, and low-income artisans—helping them rebuild identity, dignity, and economic independence through skill-based livelihoods. Our work sits at the intersection of people, materials, and climate action. From bamboo to textile waste, plastic waste, agri waste, industrial scrap, and natural fibres, we turn undervalued materials into functional products while creating stable income pathways for underserved communities. We believe: Waste is not a problem. Lack of livelihoods is. When people gain skills, waste becomes opportunity—and opportunity becomes dignity. What we do: • Green & circular livelihood training • Bamboo & natural material housing • Upcycled textile and plastic furniture • Sustainable product development • Community entrepreneurship programs Our mission is simple: Design livelihoods, restore dignity, and build a circular economy that includes everyone—not just the privileged. If you believe sustainability must be people-first, you’re in the right place.
