BANTAYnet is an NGO with the purpose of providing education about Online Safety and Media Information Literacy (MIL), primarily to Filipinos in Filipino languages & English. Our material will be delivered in simplified & accessible posts or short videos on social media. The word “bantay” means beware, watch out, or be on guard in several Filipino languages, which is fitting to our mission. Founded in the UK, we have now fully moved our operations to Bohol, Philippines to be at the heart of the communities we are aiming to serve. As we continue to grow, we strive to involve as many Filipinos in our work wherever we can, to make sure our services are created by Filipinos for Filipinos as much as possible. This is just the beginning of our journey, which is why we are counting on your support to make it possible for us to create quality educational content in Filipino languages, to reach those who are most vulnerable to Online Exploitation!
