Barikawa Nairobi is a young humanitarian project started by a couple in Nairobi, initially for AIDS orphans. The organization has grown to house and/or teach about 35 needy children. It includes an orphanage, a K-8 school (soon to be K-12), medical missions, and a women, children & family initiative with micro banking. Its plan is to move outside of Nairobi into a safe and clean environment with new buildings and space enough to ultimately care for 500 children.
