Jason Barney is the President and founder of Barney Environmental, Inc, a comprehensive environmental and land planning consulting firm. Mr. Barney is responsible for project management and oversight of Barney Environmental’s projects. He specializes in the areas of environmental sciences and planning, environmental due diligence, Phase ESA’s, petroleum storage tank remediation, industrial hygiene, natural resource and watershed assessment, stormwater management and compliance, wetlands mitigation banking, conservation and restoration planning, design and development, and land, waterfront, and transportation development planning and permitting. Mr. Barney has over 10 years of consulting experience working for both public and private clients on residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional projects. Mr. Barney’s experience includes land planning and site plan development; wetland and stream delineation and assessment, wetland and waterfront permitting, living shoreline and oyster reef design, stream and wetland mitigation site selection, design, and monitoring; Phase Environmental Site Assessments; petroleum storage tank remediation; Chesapeake Bay Preservation Act compliance; watershed, soils, and water quality assessments; National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) compliance; and GIS mapping and data analysis.
