Barr Rehab

Barr Rehab is an interdisciplinary, team-based private rehabilitation practice, with a focus on assessing and enabling occupation in people with complex comorbid disorders. We promote a best practice, team-based approach to assessment and intervention from a functional perspective, and strive to provide our clients with the tools and knowledge they require to lead their rehabilitation. Our assesors provide individualized assessment and intervention services for a range of purposes (i.e. rehabilitation treatment, insurer evaluations, medical-legal assessment, future care cost reports, catastrophic assessment); and we serve a range of clinical populations with complex injuries and rehabilitation needs, including brain injury, mental health, chronic pain and disability, orthopedic injuries, spinal cord injury, and communication disorders. Our occupational therapy services include functional and situational assessment, assessment of catastrophic injury using the Glasgow Outcomes Scale -Extended (GOS-E) criteria, treatment and interventions (including emerging interventions: equine therapy, music therapy, yoga therapy, hydrotherapy, knowledge brokerage, mindfulness and neurofeedback). We believe that rehabilitation requires an interdisciplinary approach that is tailored to and by the individual.
