Established in 1996, Base Formula has grown to be one of the UK’s leading aromatherapy suppliers. We supply over therapists and 40 training colleges in the UK with premium grade essential oils, carrier oils, massage oils, cosmetic bases and other aromatherapy supplies. We also have customers across the world including a strong presence in the US and South-East Asia. Base Formula is a registered member of the Aromatherapy Trade Council (ATC). The ATC is the trade association for the specialist aromatherapy essential oil trade, and represents manufacturers and suppliers of aromatherapy products as well as the interest of consumers in the United Kingdom. As members of the ATC, Base Formula are committed to consumer safety and responsible marketing, consistent high standards (essential oils must be of the purist quality) and providing accurate, up-to-date information on our products. We are bound by the ATC's voluntary code of practice for safety, labelling and packaging, and our oils are subject to a random testing and verification programme at independent laboratories. Out of the many hundreds of aromatherapy businesses in the UK only 43 companies, including Base Formula, are actually registered members of the ATC. We are also corporate members of the International Federation of Aromatherapists (IFA) and the International Federation of Professional Aromatherapists (IFPA)- both of which are internationally recognised with members throughout the world.
