Basic Commerce and Industries, Inc.(BCI) was founded with a strong systems engineering base and has a proven track record combining broad engineering credentials with significant operational expertise. BCI currently provides software support to its various government and private industry clients in all phases of systems & computer program design, development, and maintenance for the nation's space, defense and commercial systems. The BCI-Dahlgren team primarily supports the U.S. Navy by helping to define and engineer future ship, unmanned air, and combat systems. The experience of our engineers and previous ship operators and maintainers plus our cadre Human Factors Engineers provide a unique capability to determine future system performance parameters based on sound operational and engineering principles. Since 1995, our systems engineering team has worked on the leading edge of technology in developing advanced concepts for combat systems, training, maintenance, human-systems integration, and command and control. BCI's early growth has been noted in Inc. magazine's Inc. 500 list of America's fastest growing companies. Today our team consists of over 200 engineers and professional staff supporting a diverse set of customers including NAVSEA, NAVAIR, Marine Corps, various Navy PEO's, US Army, and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
