Basra Industrial Community (BIC): is a +/- square meter camp and office complex situated within the North Rumaila Oil Field in Southern Iraq; approximately 65 kilometers from Basra International Airport. Designed to offer superior living accommodation and life support services, the complex has been audited and approved by a number of International Oil Companies (IOCs), including: Shell, Lukoil and Exxon. The BIC team placed a priority on meeting the rigorous needs of our clients when designing, constructing and operating our facility. The facility is owned and operated by Al Mi Schwob, a wholly owned Iraqi company and part of the Dallas, Texas-based Schwob group of companies. Being a fully registered Iraqi company with the oversight and expertise of a Western organization provides our clients with the best of both worlds. With over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry and four years of operating in Iraq, the team behind BIC has sought to provide the highest standard of life support facilities in Southern Iraq. In order to address safety concerns of companies operating in southern Iraq, Schwob employs dedicated full time Security Managers operating 24hrs a day, as well as a BP approved independent security company to provide access control and static guarding.
