Bass Care

Boroondara Aged Services Society is a charitable, community based not for profit organisation that has provided a diverse range of services targeted at the frail aged throughout the City of Boroondara for over 50 years. These services include aged care accommodation facilities (low, high level care and independent living), a dementia day centre, meals on wheels, senior citizens clubs and many social support and day activity programs. The Society trades as BASS Care. It is BASS Care’s policy not to discriminate against any resident based on age, sex, race, religion or financial status when providing the wide range of social support services throughout the City of Boroondara. BASS Care management and staff strongly adhere to the underlying principles incorporated in the Mission Statement in guiding the care and services for its clients: “ …. We achieve excellence in service provision by putting the integrity and dignity for whom we care for, first and foremost.” The organisation is very ably supported in its work by over 310 volunteers who provide wonderful assistance in a wide variety of activities.
