Bass Lighting

Fred brings more than 35 years of lighting experience to his consultancy latterly with 10 years at Neonlite the brand owner of MEGAMAN®. Fred was responsible for strengthening business development and leading the sales and marketing strategies with some of the world’s leading energy-saving products. He directed the Paviom brand sales team which won major roll outs with Liverpool stores in Mexico where they installed over LED tracklights and over low energy downlights. He also took a leading role in participating in the United Nations U4E (United for Efficiency) programme. Formerly, Fred held senior positions in numerous lighting companies including Group Product Marketing and R&D Director at Sylvania Lighting International Ltd where he was responsible for directing the design and development of fixture product across the group. He directed the international sales team that won the Paris Metro project for Concord Lighting with a low energy custom made linear system which still lights 100 Metro stations and was worth over £8 million. As a specialist in lighting, he has also represented companies at external bodies such as the EU commission, the UN, NGOs and standards organisations such as ZigBee. Fred is familiar with all areas of energy saving lighting solutions having worked with light sources, light fittings, LED modules & components and smart lighting controls. Fred is technically grounded having graduated in Electrical & Electronic Engineering from Leeds Beckett University
