Batayon Pathagar

Batayon Pathagar is a specialized library where students get all sorts of supports for higher education. At library students can stay whole day for studying. Books are available. Seminar, Ted talk like shows are very helpful for students. Monthly membership fee is as little as 1.5 USD. This library believes- “We’ve been educated to become good workers, rather than creative thinkers. Students with restless minds and bodies — far from being cultivated for their energy and curiosity — are ignored or even stigmatized, with terrible consequences” – Sir Ken Robinson Batayon Library started its journey to inculcate the habit of reading books in children and adolescents, to make academic study enjoyable, to introduce students to libraries, to have world class education using information technology. The library, which emphasizes in learning (studying) development process, has a good collection of books according to ages, and will have more books and facilities in future. There are various kinds of activities- a student will have the opportunity to experiment with others for self-assessment. Besides, special initiatives have been taken to make students proficient in English and Bengali language so that the languages do not become a barrier in acquiring knowledge. We are grateful to all of you who are coming to the library, reading books, giving valuable advice, contributing financially. With your cooperation we have been able to come so far today. This completely non-profit organization wants to work with teachers, students and parents who are involved in learning-teaching process. The habit of reading books resists many bad habits. Libraries are needed to curb drug-addicted youth, women plagued by acid-terrorism, extreme degradation of morality, spread of illiteracy etc.
