Bates Originals

We are a family-owned business founded by Ryan and Allison Bates. After leaving the corporate gigs in the big city in 2016, we moved to the family farm to pursue our passion to freely create our art. Today, Bates Originals is a thriving business that specializes in interior design and handcrafted furniture. Bates Originals is more than just a furniture and interior design business, it's a way of life. It's about creating a connection between people and their environment and helping to bring beauty and functionality into their everyday lives. We use eco-friendly materials, our wood is responsibly harvested from our property in East Texas. We use old trees that are on their way out and dying to make room for new growth, cut our own material on our sawmill, and dry everything in our own kiln to make sure we are using the highest quality materials. It is truly from our place to yours.
