Both Battery-boxes are resistant to the extreme pressure and high temperatures that could arise during a battery fire. The box keeps the fire and battery components inside and safely discharges the highly toxic flue gas. This is rather safe for you, as well as for the employees in your company! What is a battery fire? There can be different causes for failure in a battery. This could trigger a thermal reaction in the battery, a so-called ‘runaway’. The cells in the battery will warm up which may cause them to produce flammable gases, including the highly toxic hydrogen fluoride. As a result, the pressure in the battery casing will rise. As the battery ignites, this could be accompanied by explosions, huge flame jets, flying cells and severe smoke development. A lot of damage due to battery fire Battery fires usually have significant impact on the surroundings and may cause a lot of damage. This could be as a result of fire, but also due to the toxic flue gases and the explosive nature of the ignition. That is why we recommend to charge the battery in a safe environment.
