Battle Ground Public Schools

Battle Ground Public Schools educates students in an engaging environment that meets the needs of every learner. We provide educational opportunities ranging from traditional to alternative. Our programs comprise K-12 classrooms; online learning; a homeschool program; a high school STEM program that focuses on agriculture, science and the environment; a rigorous academic academy; and a high school for self-directed learners. By focusing on best instructional practices, technology, and facilities, BGPS teaches students to think critically and creatively and prepares them for success after high school. Low teacher-to-student ratios let staff impart practical skills and knowledge to students within the framework of state learning standards and social-emotional learning. Our students achieve state test scores that are consistently above state average. Battle Ground Public Schools supports approx. students in 19 schools: seven primary schools, six middle schools, one 3-12 academy, two comprehensive high schools, one alternative high school, one remote learning school and one homeschool support program. The district has more than 1,500 professional staff and serves a population of residents and spans 273 square miles in Clark County and the cities of Battle Ground, Brush Prairie, Amboy, Yacolt and Vancouver.
