BBM provides Global Footprints Scholarships for young people in vocational careers, including trades, horticulture and agriculture to travel and learn about sustainability goals in their chosen field. Our scholarships support these young people to become practical, holistic leaders of the future who are aligned to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, for a sustainable, significant Australia. BBM is also the custodian of the legacy of Australia's most successful Youth Migration Scheme, which was known as The Big Brother Movement. The scheme was operated in partnership with the Australian Government between 1925 and 1983, and facilitated the immigration of thousands of young British citizens. Today BBM supports the former youth migrants by collecting their stories, preserving historical records and hosting reunions.
