Bcn Emotorsport

Welcome to the official website of BCN eMotorsport, the Formula Student team of the city of Barcelona, which is developed thanks to the Industrial Engineering and Telecommunications schools of the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC). The team was born in 2007, being a pioneer in Spain and leading the development of an electric and autonomous single-seater with which it competes during the summer competitions with the best teams worldwide. Since 2007, a new car has been presented every year: 4 combustion cars (CAT01, CAT02, CAT03, and CAT04), 9 electric cars (CAT05e, CAT06e, CAT07e, CAT08e, CAT09e, CAT10e, CAT11e, CAT12e, and CAT13e) and 4 fusion cars (CAT14x, CAT15x, CAT16x and CAT17x) which can be driven with or without a driver. The first autonomous vehicle, XALOC, was introduced in 2019. In 2022, we built the first fusion car in the team's history, the CAT14x, and since then we have continued to build them that way. Now, we are in the process of developing the team's newest challenger, the CAT18x. Get ready for what is coming in the future!
