Bdanepal P. Ltd

The present BDAnepal (P) Ltd. was registered as Building Design Associates (BDA) as a proprietorship entity in June 1974 with the aim to offer Consulting Engineering Services in Architectural Design and Planning, Civil, Structural, Electrical, Sanitary and Plumbing Engineering, Interior Design, and Site Landscape Development. Initially, it offered Planning & Design of Hotels and Buildings of Tourist importance in Kathmandu & Lukla. Shortly thereafter, the Institute of Animal & Agricultural Services, Rampur, was its client, where BDA prepared the Master Plan & Design and later on carried out successful supervision of construction works. By late 1976, this nascent firm got a shot in its arm with the long-term and comprehensive Engineering Consultancy work for the Department of Civil Aviation in the ADB-financed Tribhuvan International Airport. Its activities in this project included participation with Acres Norr Lea, a Canadian Consortium, in the preparation of the detailed design of the International Terminal Building & other Complexes, Control Tower, Runway, Taxiway, Access Road, including Landscaping & other works. Since 1979, it was involved in the supervision of the entire construction works in Tribhuvan International Airport and continued till 2003. After this, BDA emerged fully as a strong local firm expanding its activities in various other fields of Engineering and also attracted many like minded individuals who wanted to work together to contribute to the institutional development of consultancy services. So, in 1989, the firm was converted into a Private Limited Company. Starting February 20, 1997, the company renamed itself as BDAnepal (P.) Ltd. and diversified into more disciplines including socio-economic, Agricultural, Forestry, and Environment. Since 2017, the firm has expanded its activities beyond the borders of Nepal, marking a new era of regional growth and international engagement.
