Be Great For Nate

Be Great For Nate Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Portsmouth Rhode Island that works to empower youth to explore their areas of interest by providing them with healthy social emotional support and development in their communities. BG4N was founded after the suicide of 15 year old Nathan Bruno in February of 2018. Since then youth in the Portsmouth community have come together to turn talk into action, making necessary changes to help prevent youth suicide. In just two years the organizations programing has gone from empowering three youth to over one hundred, and growing. BG4N has drafted legislation, the Nathan Bruno and Jason Flatt Act, that they are working to get passed in the state of Rhode Island. Most recently the organization has been part of the production process for an upcoming Ken Burns documentary on the mental health crisis in our world.
