Bearing Resources, Inc was founded by Michael Trotter, former manager with Duke Energy Corporation. Michael’s twenty-two year career at Duke Energy included various managerial and professional positions including relationship management responsibilities with complex corporations such as General Electric, 3M, Ingersoll Rand, Fuji Film and others. Michael also served in a managerial role within Duke Energy’s Economic Development organization where he was responsible for Duke’s economic development efforts in North Carolina in the Charlotte area, the Triad and Research Triangle. As a result of his exposure throughout North Carolina, Michael is well known and respected throughout the economic development community. Michael received his Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering from Clemson University and is a registered professional engineer in South Carolina. He has served on the Board of Directors for the North Carolina Economic Developers Association, Rowan Jobs Initiative, Union County Partnership for Progress and Centralina Council of Governments Economic Development Commission.
