Beaver Innovation is an innovative technology company based in the Dominican Republic. Our overarching mission is to reduce the ecological footprint of residences (such as houses and condominiums) and provide drinking water solutions. The Dominican Republic is paradise on Earth, and we want to keep it that way for future generations. Unfortunately, wastewater is often discharged into the ground, the rivers, or the sea, with minimal pretreatment or even no pretreatment. According to the CAASD, 82% of the National District land was already contaminated by “pozos filtrantes” (literally, “filtrating wells”) in 2012. At Beaver Innovation, we are committed to preserving groundwater reserves and land by treating wastewater efficiently. We developed the WormDigester®, our efficient, eco-friendly, and decentralized wastewater treatment plant, that leverages the power of earthworms. Our solution ensures minimal impact of residences on the local environment, and upcycles the green waste from our communities into organic fiber for our treatment plants, while the treated water becomes a valuable resource for garden irrigation. Consistent with our mission to reduce our ecological footprint, we also offer the Slow RetroFiltration unit (RFL), a low-energy and cost-effective solution to turn water from wells or INAPA into drinking water. This technology reduces the waste produced by water bottles and canisters, while fighting against waterborne diseases by supplying homes with safe water.
